Growing up as the youngest and only girl in a family full of ranchers, heritage workwear was all around me. As I grew older, those aspects of workwear became my aesthetic and influence.

Whether it is men’s wear or women’s wear, the ranch influence flows throughout my work. With such specific influences, I had to hone my creative eye and find my own balance and identity.

ABOUT LAUREN

Upcycling allowed me to see the importance of construction and  opened my eyes to the functional aspects of garments. I admire companies that work hard to successfully bring those details to life.

Seeing these elements broken down, helped me to understand proportion and editing when it came to 2D design and flat patterning. Throughout my designs, the functional elements are well thought out  and regularly used. As an apparel design graduate, coupled with my love of the Earth and passion for western wear- I would love an opportunity to grow on a team with a similar vibe. My goal is to contribute to an environment that values diverse perspectives and to continue bringing fresh, innovative ideas to the fashion world.
